Day 27 | Bin Liners Are Rubbish

Today we challenge you to stop using bin liners! (You can still use the ones you already own as throwing them out will send them to landfill anyway)

Might seem unusual or tricky at first but it's just about changing habits. You got this!

Be careful with biodegradable liners - these are fab for composting (if they're properly certified, also check if they're home or commercially compostable). However they can't be sent to landfill with your regular waste - this can end up being a more dangerous method as they'll produce methane. So you'd have to tip your rubbish out and then compost the bag which isn't always an option depending on your waste collection.
